How To Use Custom Rental Rates

Change the rental rate on an individual order without affecting a product's default rates, so you can offer different pricing per customer.

Custom Rental Rates can be used to change the rental rate for an individual order without affecting the default rental rates for that product. This makes it easy to have different rates for different customers if needed.

Step By Step Instructions:

  1. Navigate to Settings > General Settings > Options

  2. Scroll down and toggle Custom Order Rental Rates to Yes (default settings = Yes).

  3. Go to Create Order and fill out all of the info for the order (reference this article for assistance creating a new order: How to Create a New Order in the Admin Console)

  4. Before you click "add to order" for a product, find the rate you would like to adjust under Pricing Breakdown

  5. Click the rate you want to change and input the new rate > click the check mark to save.

  6. The new rate will now show up below the original rate.

  7. After adjusting any rates that you need you can add the product to the order.

  8. Once the order is created you can find the custom rates by going into the order > clicking Update Order > Show Rates.

  9. Congrats! You have setup a Custom Rental Rate.
