Sending Payment Links to Customers

The Send Payment Link feature allows admins to send payment notifications to customers via email or text message. This feature is particularly useful for ensuring timely payments across multiple invoices or outstanding balances.

Enabling SMS Notifications (for Sending Payment Links via Text)

  • Enable SMS Notifications (if you want to send the payment link via text):

    • In the Quipli admin console, go to Settings > General Settings and click on the tab labeled Options.

    • Scroll down to Send SMS Notifications to Customers and ensure it’s set to Yes.

    • Click Save Changes at the bottom of the page.

Accessing the "Send Payment Link" Feature

1. Go to Orders > Select the specific order to which the payment is related.

2. Scroll down to the “Invoices” section of the order screen.

3. Click on the “ellipsis ()” next to the pay button.

4. Choose “Send Payment Notification” from the dropdown menu.

Review the Sent Notification

1. Scroll down to “Email history” on the order screen

2. Select the “Customer - Click to Pay Invoice” email

3. To see what the customer received, select “clicking this link” from the email

4. Verify the renter's phone number is added to their order. The payment link will be sent to their email and, if a phone number is provided, also via text message. The link will direct the renter to a personalized e-commerce page linked to their account

5. Once the renter selects the payment link from their email or text, they can select “Pay Invoice” on the e-commerce payment screen

6. Renters can choose to pay using a saved credit or debit card, enter a new card, or via ACH payments. If you've enabled ACH payments in your system, they can also set up and pay via ACH bank transfer. To learn more about setting up ACH, click here: ACH Payments

7. Once the customer selects their payment method and clicks “Pay," the payment is immediately logged.

8. The transaction will be recorded both on the customer’s screen and within the admin console, ensuring you can track all payment activities.
