The Products report covers your fleet from every angle — what's in stock, how hard each unit is working, and how much revenue it's generating — spread across seven tabs.
Current Inventory Tab
A snapshot of what you own right now.
Filters: Data Source, Product Tracking Type, Location, For Rent, For Sale, Product Type, Product Name, Exclude Products, and Category Contains.
Tiles: Total Rental Stock and Total Sale Stock.
The Current Product Inventory (All Locations) table lists every product with: Product Name, Location, Product Tracking Type, For Sale, For Rent, Total Stock, Rental Stock, Sale Stock, Number Sold, and Average Purchase Price.
Product Utilization Tab
Filters: Data Source, Reporting Period, Location, Product Is Currently Active, For Rent, For Sale, Product Type, Product Name, Exclude Products, Category Contains, and Unit Is Ramping (First 365 Days) — that last one lets you include or exclude units still in their first year of ownership, since new equipment often utilizes differently than seasoned fleet.
ℹ️ Good to know: How a "day on rent" is counted depends on your account's Utilization Calculation Method (General Settings > Options):
Daily Activity — a day counts if the unit was on rent at any point during that day. Best for half-day or short-term rentals.
Daily at Close — a day counts only if the unit was still out at close of business. Best for full-day or multi-day rentals.
Wall Clock Hours — compares hours on rent to total hours in the period. Rarely recommended.
Operating Hours — compares hours on rent to total hours your business was open.
The same rental history can produce very different utilization numbers depending on which method your account uses — so if a number looks off, check this setting first.
Tiles:
Physical Utilization — the percentage of days a unit was on rent, out of all the days it was owned during the period.
Commercial Physical Utilization — the same idea, but with days the unit was down for repair (hard down or soft down) removed from the denominator, so it reflects utilization only when the unit was actually available to rent.
Financial Utilization — the unit's rental revenue, annualized, compared to what you paid for it. 100% means it's on pace to earn back its full purchase price in a year.
Revenue ROI — the same idea as Financial Utilization, but net of repair and service costs, so it reflects actual profit rather than gross revenue.
The Utilization Trends chart plots all four metrics over time, with a Date Grain control to zoom between daily, weekly, monthly, and other groupings.
Below that, Individual Unit Utilization gives you the same four metrics for every individual unit, along with Product Name, Unit No, Serial No, Location, Days Available, Days On Rent, Days Hard Down, Days Soft Down, Total Revenue, Total OEC, Total Work Order Cost, and All Category Names. Product Utilization below it rolls the same metrics up per product instead of per unit, replacing the unit-level identifiers with a Distinct Units count.
ℹ️ Good to know: If you export this report and try to recreate the math yourself, you may land within a percent or two but not exactly on Quipli's number — especially for Physical Utilization. The export rounds to full calendar days, while the live report accounts for partial-day activity based on your Utilization Calculation Method. Pull the number directly from the report if you need it to be precise.
Category Utilization Tab
The same filters as Product Utilization. Two charts — Physical Utilization Trend by Category and Financial Utilization Trend by Category — plot those two metrics over time, one line per category. Below them, the Category table rolls all the utilization metrics up per category instead of per unit or product.
Location Utilization Tab
Again, the same filters. Physical Utilization Trend by Location and Financial Utilization Trend by Location chart those metrics per location over time — and clicking a location name in the table below filters the entire dashboard down to that location only. The Location Utilization table gives you the same set of metrics rolled up per location.
Rental Revenue Tab
Filters: Data Source, Reporting Period, Product Tracking Type, Location, Product Is Currently Active, For Rent, For Sale, Product Type, Product Name, Exclude Products, and Category Contains.
Tiles: Total Rental Revenue, Number of Rental Days, Average Rental Revenue per Order, Average Daily Rental Rate, and Average Rental Revenue per User.
Two tables break rental revenue down by product: Rental Product Revenue (All Locations) and Rental Product Revenue, By Location (the same breakdown, split further by location). Both include Total Rental Revenue, Number of Rental Days, Average Daily Rental Rate, Distinct Orders, ARPO (average revenue per order), Number of Distinct Customers, and ARPU (average revenue per customer).
Sales Revenue Tab
The same layout as Rental Revenue, for outright sales instead of rentals. Tiles: Total Sales Revenue, Number of Sales, Average Sales Revenue per Order, Average Sale Price, and Average Sales Revenue per User. The Product Sales Revenue (All Locations) and Product Sales Revenue, By Location tables mirror the rental tables' columns.
Category Revenue Tab
Filters: the same as Rental/Sales Revenue, plus Order Type.
Total Rental Revenue Trend, by Category and Total Sales Revenue Trend, by Category chart revenue over time per category — click a category name in the table below to filter the whole dashboard to it. The Category Revenue table combines both rental and sales metrics per category: Total Rental Revenue, Number of Rental Days, Average Daily Rental Rate, Total Sales Revenue, Number of Sales, Number of Distinct Orders, ARPO, Number of Distinct Customers, and ARPU.
Working with Date Filters
Reporting Period (and any other date filter on this report) opens the same style of menu you'll see elsewhere in Quipli: a quick preset (Today, Yesterday, Previous 7 Days, and similar), a Fixed Date Range for an exact start and end date, or a Relative Date Range that automatically stays current as time passes. Most tabs default to Previous 365 days.
Downloading Report Data
Every module on the report — tiles, charts, and tables alike, on any tab — has a ⋯ menu in its top-right corner. Click it and choose the download option to export that module's results on their own, without needing to download the whole report.
