Understanding the Renters Report

Walkthrough of the Renters report's three tabs (Order KPIs, Volume YTD, Volume MTD), their filters, tiles, and tables.

The Renters report summarizes your business at the customer level — total revenue, order volume, and average order value per renter — across three views: an all-time snapshot, year-to-date, and month-to-date.

ℹ️ Good to know: This report is built from payable invoices tied to approved orders, and does not include activity from today.

Order KPIs Tab

This is the all-time (or filtered-range) view of your renters.

Filters

Filter

What it does

Data Source

If your account pulls orders in from more than one source, this narrows the report down to a specific one.

Invoice Date Range

Filters to invoices dated within a range you choose.

Location

Narrows the report to one or more specific yards or branches.

Customer Status

Filters to customers in a given status, such as Active.

Order Type

Filters by the type of order, such as a rental versus a sale.

Customer

Narrows the report to one or more specific customers.

Excluded Customers

Leaves specific customers out of the report rather than narrowing down to them.

Sales Rep

Filters to renters handled by a specific sales representative, where that's tracked.

Invoice Date Range is a date filter — clicking it opens the same style of menu you'll see on other Quipli reports: a quick preset (Today, Yesterday, Previous 7 Days, and similar), a Fixed Date Range for an exact start and end date, or a Relative Date Range that automatically stays current as time passes.

Summary tiles

  • Revenue — total revenue across all filtered renters.

  • Number of Renters — how many distinct customers make up that revenue.

  • Number of Orders — how many orders those renters placed.

  • Average Revenue per Renter — Revenue divided by Number of Renters.

  • Average Order Value — Revenue divided by Number of Orders.

Renter KPIs table

One row per customer, with its own Revenue and Orders threshold filters at the top of the table. You can look up or sort by:

Column

What it tells you

Customer ID / Customer

The customer's identifier and name.

Total Revenue

That customer's total revenue in the filtered period.

Orders

How many orders that customer placed.

Average Order Value

That customer's total revenue divided by their order count.

First Invoice Date / Last Invoice Date

Their first and most recent invoice dates.

Days Since Last Invoice

How long it's been since they were last invoiced — useful for spotting renters who've gone quiet.

Sales Representative (Agg)

The sales rep associated with that customer's orders.

Customer Phone / Customer Email

Their contact details on file.

Most Recent Billing Address / Most Recent Delivery Address

The billing and delivery addresses used most recently.

Volume YTD Tab

The same idea as Order KPIs, but scoped to the current year and compared against last year — with no date filter of its own, since the window is fixed to year-to-date.

Filters: Data Source, Location, Customer Status, Order Type, Customer, and Excluded Customers — the same as the Order KPIs tab, minus Invoice Date Range and Sales Rep.

Summary tiles: Revenue YTD, Number of Renters YTD, Number of Orders YTD, Average Revenue per Renter YTD, and Average Order Value YTD — each showing the percentage change versus the same period last year.

The Renter KPIs: YTD table below breaks the same comparison out by customer: Customer ID, Customer, Total Revenue, % Growth YOY, Number of Orders, % Growth YOY, and Average Order Value.

Volume MTD Tab

The same layout again, scoped to the current month and compared against last month.

Filters: the same as Volume YTD — Data Source, Location, Customer Status, Order Type, Customer, and Excluded Customers.

Summary tiles: Revenue MTD, Number of Renters MTD, Number of Orders MTD, Average Revenue per Renter MTD, and Average Order Value MTD — each showing the percentage change versus last month. Early in a month, these may show N/A (No data) if there isn't a full prior month to compare against yet.

The Renter KPIs: MTD table mirrors the YTD one, scoped to the current month.

Downloading Report Data

Every module on the report — tiles and tables alike, on any tab — has a menu in its top-right corner. Click it and choose the download option to export that module's results on their own, without needing to download the whole report.
