December 17th, 2024

Hour Tracking

  • Setup: Products must be tracked by serial units to enable hour tracking. Activate the "hour tracking" setting in the product configuration and save changes.

  • Usage: Hour readings, including history, are displayed in the product unit details. Readings update during rental and return, with options for manual adjustments.

Hour Tracking Overage

  • Configuration: Set daily hour limits (e.g., 8 hours) and specify overage charges for extra hours (e.g., $20/hour).

  • Invoicing: Overage charges are automatically calculated when inventory is returned and appear as line items on invoices and contracts.

Fuel Tracking

  • Setup: Enable the fuel unit setting in general settings, create a sale product for fuel (e.g., diesel), and assign it a quantity (gallons) and price per unit.

  • Return Process: Enter the fuel amount needed to refill the tank during the return step (supports decimals, e.g., 5.38 gallons). Charges are calculated automatically and appear on invoices and contracts.

  • Reporting: Fuel tracking details are recorded in product reports for easy management.
