October 19, 2026 - Release Notes

New features, improvements, and bug fixes released to Quipli on October 19, 2026.

New Features

  • Receive Bills and Track Payments on Purchase Orders:

    • Purchase Order bills are now available to every customer, whether or not you use QuickBooks Online. Once a PO is approved, you can mark its bill as received, which posts the PO's line items to their mapped expense GL accounts on the bill date. Approving a PO on its own doesn't post anything to your expense accounts until the bill is received.

    • You can also log payments against a bill to keep track of which bills are paid and which are still unpaid. Bill payments are for tracking purposes only and have no accounting impact in Quipli.

  • New and Updated Reports in the Reports Suite:

    • On Rent / IRO (new): A new report is now available in the app so you can see which units are currently on rent and which are tied up in internal repair orders (work orders on your own fleet equipment).

    • Sales Commission (updated): The Sales Commission report has been replaced with an updated version that shows both accrual and cash views, with flags for clawbacks. New GL account filters let you narrow the report to just the revenue you actually pay commission on.

    • Customer Searches (updated): The Customer Searches report has been replaced with an updated version that gives you insight into what customers are searching for on your storefront.

Improvements

  • Rental and Sale Filter on the Products List:

    • The Products list now has an "Offered as" filter so you can show only rental products or only sale products. We also made the page clearer: the "For" column is now "Offered as" (Rental, Sale, or Rental & sale), the date column and filters now say "Created," and the Active filter is now "Status" with Active and Inactive options.

  • Custom Products Are Marked on Orders:

    • Custom products on an order now show a "Custom" badge in Contract Details, so you can tell at a glance which lines were typed in by hand and which come from your catalog.

  • Cleaner Dispatch Filters:

    • The Dispatch filters have been cleaned up with labels on every field, separate Cancel and Apply buttons, and status options that match dispatch (Not started, In transit, Complete). Overdue is now its own "Show only overdue" checkbox, quotes are hidden by default (check "Include quotes" to show them), and you can see and clear active filters right from the toolbar without opening the filter window.

  • Easier-to-Use Admin Permissions:

    • The admin permissions page has been reorganized into clearer groups, with plain-language names and a short description under every permission. Seven permissions that didn't control anything have been removed. Nobody loses access to anything they could use before.

  • Payment Dates Can No Longer Be in the Future:

    • When logging a payment manually (check, cash, or other non-Stripe methods), the payment date must now be today or earlier. A payment record should reflect money that has actually changed hands, and this keeps your books accurate.

  • Due Dates on Every Invoice:

    • Every invoice now gets a due date automatically, based on the customer's payment terms. The setting that used to control this has been removed. Past invoices that had no due date now use their invoice date.

  • Collection Notes Show the Latest 10:

    • Collection notes on a customer's Collectibles view, and on Accounting > Collectibles at the customer level, now show your 10 most recent notes, with a "Show more" option to see the rest.

  • Collectibles Tab Works Better on Tablet and Mobile:

    • A customer's Collectibles tab now fits tablet and mobile screens, including the summary tiles at the top and the expanded finance charge details.

  • Alt Titles on Product Photos Now Save:

    • Fixed an issue where the Alt Title you entered on a product photo disappeared after clicking "Save changes" on the product.

  • Market Value Column Removed from the Product Units Report:

    • The market value column has been removed from the Product Units report because the third-party valuation service behind it is no longer available.

  • All Footer Locations Stay Under "Our Locations":

    • On your online storefront, companies with more than six locations now have every location listed under "Our Locations" in the footer, instead of some wrapping below the footer links.

  • Reports Improvements:

    • Products Report: Product Utilization now shows each unit's make, model, model year, and current hours.

    • Utilization weighting: Commercial Physical Utilization and the category-level utilization metrics are now weighted by equipment cost (OEC), like Physical Utilization. Each utilization metric now has a plain-language definition in the report. Only units with a purchase price are included, so add purchase prices for full coverage.

    • Orders Report: New Order Channel (Ecommerce or Admin) fields show where each order came from.

    • Invoice Report: You can now click an invoice number to open its order.

Bug Fixes

  • Cancelled Sale Orders Return Serial-Tracked Units to Inventory:

    • Resolved an issue where cancelling an approved sale order left its serial-tracked units marked as sold, so they stayed out of your available inventory until support cleared them by hand. Cancelling now makes those units available again.

  • Partly Returned Orders Now Show "Off Rent":

    • Resolved an issue where an approved rental with some items Off Rent and the rest already Returned was labeled "Reservation Approved" on the dashboard and in the Orders list. These orders now correctly show "Off Rent."

  • Reports Bug Fixes:

    • Utilization and early returns: Equipment returned before its rental end date now goes off rent on the day it was returned, not the scheduled end date.

    • Current Inventory: Quantity-tracked products assigned to a single location no longer show 0 stock. They now match the stock shown in the app.

    • Payments Report: Payment method totals are now accurate. Total Credit/Debit previously also counted checks and manually recorded payments, which could roughly double it, and it now counts only card payments. Total Cash/Check/ACH now includes every check, whether or not a check number was entered. A new Total Other Payments covers custom or manually recorded methods, so the three now add up to the Grand Total.
